West Orange municipal taxes are making our town unaffordable

West Orange municipal taxes are making our town unaffordable

The Town Council has approved municipal property tax increases
averaging 7.5% annually since 2005 –
including in 2010.

That’s a 43% increase over five years!

In this same period, inflation in Northern New Jersey has risen less than 3 percent annually!
(Bureau of Labor Statistics, Northern New Jersey CPI)

We must make West Orange a more attractive and affordable place to live
by limiting spending and tax increases through reformation of the budget process
so, together as a community, we identify and fund top priorities –
and give taxpayers an equal seat at the budget table.
